Bang! Nice Picture!

The gene pool took a giant leap upward on Wednesday. A 19 year old Texas kid shot himself while taking a “selfie.” Wow! I have a friend who says he feels like he’s living in a parallel universe. I think I am, too. When I read something like this nut job offing himself just to take his picture, I really wonder what kind of world we have created for ourselves. However, I do think we are all safer with this guy gone. Anyone that stupid shouldn’t even be allowed to have a PICTURE of a loaded weapon. In fact, I would offer my services to shoot the kid while he took his picture, just to keep him from breeding.

More and more I see articles about people falling off cliffs, getting run over by cars, driving into other vehicles, getting eaten by bears – all while attempting to take a picture of themselves. I wonder if this plethora of idiots killing themselves ever occurred to Steve Jobs when his Apple company invented the iPhone?

I guess it says a lot about the current generation that they would endanger themselves just for their moment of fame on Facebook. I’d bet if you asked them any question about American history, or how many branches of government we have, or who their representatives in congress are, they would blow it. But, I guess it will work out all right eventually. Remember, our parents thought we were all going to hell because of Rock & Roll. Well…maybe we did, but it wasn’t Elvis’s fault.
