Housewives, Real or Otherwise.

I am so happy that “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” TV show has decided to add a “transgender” to their program. This is diversity at its finest! But…I see the possibility of a few branding problems. So let’s analyze this. “Trans” means “change, transfer, or conversion” and gender of course means male or female.

So, I assume that since the show is about housewives the transgender will be a pseudo female, which would seem appropriate for a housewife, but if she is really a male, then he can’t be a housewife he would have to be a house husband. So the show can’t be about “real” housewives if one of them is a male. On the other hand, the transgender can’t be portrayed as a male, because that destroys the whole concept of “real housewives.”

Okay. I think I’ve got it now. No…wait, there is no way a male can be a housewife, so there is no solution to this problem. Of course, if the “trans” has already “transed” then he would not be a he anymore he would be a she and that would work fine because she could be a housewife. But, we don’t know which way the balls xxxx ball bounces so if the trans is really a female who is going to convert to a male, then…wait.

All right. The only way they can do this show with a transgender is if they change the name to “The Somewhat Real Housewives of Atlanta except One of the Housewives is Really a House Husband.”

Or, they could dump the transgender and get a hermaphrodite. Now, that is REAL diversity!
