I saw it, and maybe you did, too. Big headline! “Harley-Davidson cancels Trump visit to Milwaukee from fear of demonstrations.” Now, what would you gather from that? Oh, my God, H-D is against Trump because he causes trouble. When I saw that I knew something was wrong. That couldn’t be true, so my first reaction was, “Bullshit!”
My first association with Harley-Davidson was in the late 1940s. My two buddies and I pooled our resources and came up with $25 and bought a war surplus H-D. We spent most of our time working on it. When we got it running one of us would ride it until it broke down again. We worked on it and then one of the others got the privilege of riding it until the next break down. After that first H-D, life interfered and I didn’t have another one until the ‘60s, when I had a 1954 Panhead Harley. I’ve had the opportunity (from being on TV) to ride all makes of motorcycles, but the ones I’ve owned are Harley-Davidsons. Since 1989 I’ve been a Life Member of H.O.G. the Harley Owners Group.
Let me tell you from personal experience; the American values that President Trump believes in, and is trying to restore to our country, are EXACTLY the same as Harley-Davidson and Harley rider’s. I would bet my life that every Harley rider voted for Donald Trump. It’s beyond belief that one could own a Harley and vote for the most corrupt female politician that ever ran for a public office.
So, that was just fake news and you might as well get used to it. NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post are going to be telling you lies for the next eight years. They will lie, cheat, make it up, do anything to try to discredit President Trump. They are socialists who were, in spite of their al- out efforts, unable to override the American people’s prayers and get their heroine progressive Hillary elected.
Here is the truth about Harley-Davidson and President Trump. He was going to Milwaukee. They (the company) decided not to take up his time when he is working as hard as he is (they understand and honor hard work) so THEY WENT TO WASHINGTON, instead of taking him away from his office. They met at the White House, showed off some of their new bikes and guaranteed to keep and expand their operations which have always been in America First!
Of all the companies, the last one to be intimidated by communist demonstrators is Harley-Davidson. And, a gentle warning to anti-Trump demonstrators – for your own safety, I wouldn’t put on a demonstration anywhere near a gathering of Harley bikers. I’m just sayin’…
