Several political events happened in the last seven days. The “Bengazi” hearing was a waste of time and taxpayer money. It did nothing to change the minds of those who are going to vote for Hillary Clinton, and will vote for her even if she joins ISIS, helps Planned Parenthood chop up living babies, and gives up pants suits for yoga pants.
The only two important questions were totally ignored by the geniuses who ran that hearing. Where was Hilliary and where was Obama during the seven or eight hours those Neanderthals were killing Ambassador Stevens and three other fine American patriots? Why is it that ordinary Americans can think of more vital questions in these love fests than those we send to DC supposedly to represent us? The questioners on that panel should have been wearing red noses, floppy shoes, baggy pants, and twelve of them would fit in a Volkswagen.
Of course, Obama’s Justice (that’s a laugh in itself) Department declined to hold anyone at the IRS accountable for blatant cronyism in that agency’s efforts to silence pro-American, anti-establishment patriotic organizations. On the contrary, anytime a black person is killed in the commission of a crime, the Justice Dept. is right there before the smoke clears yelling “Black Lives Matter!” Orrin Hatch (what kind of mother would name a son “Orrin?”) that fine example of a Republican gave his support to the head of the IRS who inspected his own department and, oddly, could find no evidence of wrong doing. Just open the door and let the fox in ALL the government hen houses. As Hilliary says, “At this point, what difference does it make?” Perhaps in the 2016 election, hopefully, good old Orrin and Mitch will see what difference it makes.
And then there was the debate. I watched it all and I was blown away. The debate on Fox was a farce, an attempt to start an onstage fight between candidates. Until that time the Fox News Channel was the only news I watched. Now, I don’t watch any national news. It’s all theater, play-acting, and phony. This was a real debate Wednesday night, with substantive questions and brilliant answers. You have your favorite candidate, I am sure. There are some that I like better than others. But, I will take ANY ONE of those people on that stage over Hillary Clinton and we will have a better America. For the first time in my long life we have a slate of good, honest, plain speaking Republican candidates. God speed to whomever wins the nomination because they will become President. And American can become great again.
