Lookout, Braves! Here they Come!

I see that California has now banned the name “Redskins” for sports teams. And, that is totally appropriate. We should never name athletic teams for anything remotely associated with anything relating to “skins.” I suggest that California produce a list of names that would be inoffensive to anyone, and then the rest of the country would have something to follow. Such a list could include: The California Pussies. No…wait. That would offend cats. (And maybe some of the strollers on Hollywood Boulevard, but let’s not get into that.)

No, the names must be completely neutral. Let me start over:

California Paper Clips

California Tire Irons. (Is that too brutal? Give that one more thought.)

California Shooters (No…too offensive  to drivebys and their machine guns.)

California Race Riots (No. Offensive to illegal aliens and disenfranchised blacks who are never allowed to vote.)

California Avocados

California Actors who are experts on politics. (No, couldn’t get that one on a helmet.)

California Mud Slides

California Wild Fires (Is “wild” too offensive?)

Well, I gave it my best shot. But before they come after the Atlanta “Braves” I believe, after due consideration, that the proper name for anything on the left coast is, “California Sucks.”
