Do you remember when the establishment Republicans complained that they couldn’t really do anything for the good of the country because they didn’t have control of the House of Representatives? So, what did the voters do? We gave them control of the House.
And then the Republicans complained that they couldn’t look out for the interests of the American people because they didn’t have control of the Senate. So, what did the voters do? We gave them control of the Senate. Now they have a Republican majority in Congress.
So now the Republican establishment complains that they can’t stop a run-away constitution-trampling President, because he would just veto anything they tried to do. So now the Republican establishment (and I’m talking about Mitch McConnell and John Boehner) say that we must wait until we have a Republican President before they can accomplish anything.
And the American voters say, “Bullshit!”
You know what is going to be the most interesting political situation in this nation since the Civil War? If Donald Trump should win the nomination (which the Republican establishment will do everything to prevent) he will win the Presidency. Then what will the Republican Congress do to prevent Trump from accomplishing anything? To see the establishment Republicans fighting a Republican President is going to be fascinating.
Mitch McConnell and John Boehner have no interest in accomplishing anything or they would have stopped this idiocy of guaranteeing that Iran will have an atomic bomb. A contract with the Devil (Death to America!) Iranians that says we will fight Israel (or any other nation) to protect Iran while they build their bomb. Yes, you read that correctly, and if you can explain any sanity in that proposal, then you and I are crazy and McConnell and Boehner are running the asylum
Republican politicians—please do not embarrass yourselves by thinking that American voters are so stupid as to think that you cannot stop something that is so blatantly contrary to assuring America’s and the world’s safety.
Americans have absolutely no confidence in the Republican establishment. That’s why Donald Trump and Ben Carson are soaring in the polls. Unfortunately, voters keep returning self-serving lobby accommodating nincompoops like McConnell and Boehner to office. Term limits is the only option voters have at a chance to assemble a Congress that is pro-American. Without that, we will just have to wait until the professional politicians die. Hopefully, we will still have a country when that happens.
