Well, what do you know? After the first Republican debate (where the Fox “moderators” had both barrels aimed at Donald Trump), the Donald rose 10 more points in the polls. And all the liberal media are surprised. You and I aren’t surprised are we? In the debate we had the other candidates actually agreeing with Trump on many points, while Mygan Kelly (who reminded me of every man’s worst nagging ex-wife – although she did have nice thick false eyelashes) went after him with an expression that would melt a rock.
A political blogger posted, “Why Republicans Love Donald Trump,” and this makes more sense to me than anything the Fox hacks might have to say.
“Well, here’s how it happened: Trump is combative where the Republican establishment is deemed pusillanimous. Sometimes that beats ideology and policy. [Trump] is giving voice to concerns grassroots conservatives have that respectable Republicans are unwilling or unable to articulate.
More than four-fifths of Republican voters told Gallup they are dissatisfied with the current level of immigration. That’s up 19 percentage points in a year. A large majority of these dissatisfied Republicans want less immigration, not more.”
Okay. For those of you in Ludiwici, “pusillanimous” is a big word that just means that ALL of the Republican candidates, except Trump, are pussies. Trump has lost a lot of money by taking a stand and actually talking about the politically-incorrect hush hush topic of illegal immigrants. Well, when you have 11 billion dollars, you can afford to lose a few clients who care more about PC than they do about our country. I think the American people admire Trump because he is not afraid, like all the other candidates, to tell the truth. And, he takes a shot at not only those seeking the nomination, but those in power now who are ignoring the wishes of most Americans. It was John McCain, the war hero, who teamed up with Teddy Kennedy in 2005 for their infamous “Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act.” And we only had 11 million illegals at that time. Of course, now we have 20 million illegals and all of the candidates, except Trump, want a “road to amnesty, a pathway to citizenship.” They want to “bring them out of the shadows.” Oddly, they never mention that those shadows are hiding twenty million illegals. And from his record, John McCain would be right there paving that pathway.
Perhaps all the candidates have “good intentions” when dealing with illegal immigrants, who are sucking the life out of our country. But, my mom said, “John, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
My mom was a pretty smart woman. I believe she might think Trump was on the right track.
