Death by China!

As we get ready for the new year there is something that we should take a moment to think about. The politicians are not going to do anything about it, so it is up to you and me to start the ball rolling. When you open that new iPhone or iPad or Macbook that Santa brings you, I bet you won’t stop to think that it was probably made by a 15 year old Chinese girl who worked a 16 hour day and made the equivalent of two U.S. dollars, will you? And that new wide screen TV? That was made by a poor slob in a slave labor camp in China. Having some nice Tilapia fish or some tasty shrimp for dinner? That came from a filthy seafood farm in China that is filled with animal and human shit. Oh, I know that there are nuts who say we shouldn’t “talk” politics or religion because it might offend somebody. And I’ll go along with that religion restriction, unless it is about Muslims who want to kill everybody who isn’t a Muslim.

But the Chinese thing needs to be talked about. And something needs to be done about it. I suggest that sometime during the holidays you take an hour or so and watch a Netflix program called “Death by China.” You will see how China is stealing all of our technology and our manufacturing jobs along with it. America is now billions of dollars in debt to China with our politicians building up more each day. But somebody has to pay that bill. It is going to be your grandchildren and their children who will have to do it.

And forget about calling China the “People’s Republic of China.” It is no more a republic than Germany under Hitler was a republic. Call it what it is – a country that is ruled by a communist dictatorship where there are no child labor laws, where there are slave labor camps, where there are no laws against polluting the air and the water, and where people are butchered so their organs can be sold to someone in America who needs a new liver.

Oh, you say, “Well, I would buy something if it was made here, but nothing is made in America anymore.” And that is close to the truth. Our government regulations and taxes have made it almost impossible for a business to operate here. So, what do the manufacturers do? They send their factories to China where the pollution is so bad thousands die from foul air and poisoned water every week. And if they don’t die from that they are forced to work long days just for food, or they are murdered. BTW, China is also building up its military while we cut ours to the bone. Someday we will have to fight China when they become strong enough to attempt to take over all of Asia, and we will lose that fight.

What can we do? We can tell our politicians to demand that China treats their citizens with at least the minimum human rights that common decency demands or ALL trade agreements are OFF. And we can stop buying cheap Chinese junk. Search for those things that are made in America – or don’t buy them. By buying Chinese crap made by slaves you are hastening America’s death. Oh…sorry, I know you didn’t want to hear that when you are so excited about your new X-Box made by slaves in China. Never mind.
