There are some things that just don’t make sense to me. For instance, has ANYONE ever heard of a winner of the Publisher’s Clearing House sweepstakes after they win? I mean, two million dollars, plus ten thousand bucks a month for life, and a new car? Will we ever hear who won, and where they live and have we EVER heard of a past winner? When someone wins the Mega-Million jackpot lottery we always get word of the winner. Sometimes we even get interviews with the winners. But for all the years and years we have been bombarded with those corny commercials enticing us to buy magazines, have we EVER seen a past winner? If I have missed it, please let me know, because I haven’t.
The other thing that makes no sense to me is this: Why do drug companies bother to advertise their drugs on TV? They have drugs for every ailment that man might encounter. But have you listened to the disclaimers for any of them? “May cause severe internal bleeding.” “Could cause low blood pressure and death.” “Some users have reported kidney failure.” “Rare but possible heart attacks have been reported.” The list of possible ill effects (and death is a pretty ill effect) are longer than the suggested benefit of the drug.
Honestly, the dangers they openly tell you about from taking their miracle drugs seem to me to be far more serious than whatever your problem may be. Personally, I’ll take a little dandruff, or indigestion, or erectile dysfunction, rather than risk my life taking their drugs. Of course, they say the hazards to your well-being really fast (while showing you happy, laughing people) and I guess you are not supposed to hear them, but I hear them. I wouldn’t even let my mother-in-law take any of those drugs. And that should be enough warning for anybody.
